getting a head start

I have decided to start half of my shallots early in pots in an unheated greenhouse,the other half will be planted in the ground when soil dries and warms up a little.Has anyone tried this before,and was it successful.I am sure i read somewhere that it works

it does matey. just make sure you dont disturb the roots when you put them instop onion fly harrasing ya

yes ive done this with no probs you only need to get the roots going so those plastic modular trays are ideal
feed the soil not the plants
