Downy grey mildew........help please.

I have downy grew mildew on my onions, probably due to all this cold, wet weather we have experienced. Does anybody know of any cures that may be availiable please? Many thankyou's. :D

If you're not organic, you can try a fungicide. If organic, brew a pot of really strong chamomile tea, let it cool, diluate some with water and pour a bit of tea solution over each plant. Chamomile has good fungicide properties. Short of tenting your onions to keep the rain off, this should help.

You could also try a well  diluted spray of tea-tree oil....this too has anti-fungal properties :)...Sprayed our tomatoes yesterday with this as we have a bit of mould about due to damp atmosphere.

Smashing! Thankyou very much, I would rather try an organic remidy first, i'm not too keen on chemicals, but I would use them if it meant saving a crop. Thanks for your prompt replies. :D
