Leeks

We were recently given a tray of leek's that someone has done from seed.There were more weeds in the tray than leeks but we've managed to clear them out and I'v replanted what's left in pot's of fresh compost.They are currently about 1-2 inch tall and what I was wondering is what size do they need to be before we put them out in the bed or are they going to be too small for this year?
I dont know what the variety is as the packet that was attatched to the tray has turned to mulch.

Number of leaves? If it's just one or a few, leave to bulk a bit before putting out. Exact hight and thickness, does not seem to matter that much, just strong seedlings with some size you want. don't keep them indoors, they'll be stronger.

gobs,they just have two small leaves at the moment but seem to be flying now I'v re potted them so I'll let them get abit further on before planting out.
