I've got some Strawberry plants that I planted last Autumn - I'm thinking of building a fruit cage this Autumn on the other side of the plot, would i be able to move them after they have finished fruiting?

Well, I did a similar thing and moved about 20 plants after fruiting into big pots because of Mice eating the fruit and they moved perfectly well and I got a great crop the following 2 years.

Other people might disagree but I had no problems at all.

I did dig them up with as big a root ball as poss though.

I moved mine from a bed that I needed for something else into tyres and I got a better crop than last year, just tonight picked my biggest ever - and if Esther Rantzen was still on TV I'd enter it for That's Life - it's a very rude shape!
