i have some pepper plants in my conservatory, 2 of the fruits started to go bad, blossom end rot i think, so yesterday i removed them from the plant. i didn't put them in the bin (I don't know why) and when i picked them uptoday to take to the compost heap i noticed they have started to turn yellow, they were green when i removed them. there is a pepper still on the plant that is much bigger than these two but is still very green so my question is do i need to remove it from the plant in order for it to change colour?

It will change in time.

If the other peppers aren't mushy then either use them or leave them near the plant they will give off a gas (ethylene I think) that increases the rate at which the other will ripen; same as ripe toms and bananas.

Green peppers actually look as if they are going black in patches before they turn red,it does look a bit strange but is natural. :shock:
