After the storm at the weekend all my onion leaves have snapped and are bent over.

Do I need to harvest them or shall I just leave them alone?

The same has happend to me. I have removed the leaves that have actually snapped, but the ones that are just bent over I will leave for as long as they are still green.
I don't think there is much point in harvesting them at the moment as the bulbs are only just starting to swell. Hopefully there is still enough foilage left to keep the bulbs growing untill August.

mine too     I weeded them out yesterday and tidied them up, watered and fed them and I'm hoping that they are standing like soliders today

Sorry CQ but once they gone they are gone leave them to swell as much as they will then harvest. Once they've gone over nothing will make them stand up

Same up here in SW Cumbria - pots on the patio went for a flier when the nipper's plastic greenhouse took off.

Anyway, trimmed off all the broken stems and re-potted some fairly promising red onion bulbs - here's hoping..............
