Is there a national shortage of these or something? Everywhere's run out.
Growing salad leaves isn't rocket science.

Certainly none here   I'm thinking of making tomato rings from roofing felt but not sure if this it's strong enough.
I demand the right to buy seed of varieties that are not "distinct, uniform and stable".

Morrisons still get them - I bought another 30 just last week.
And florists etc.
They're still delivered daily from Holland full of flowers - but maybe demand is higher and they're selling quicker?

My Asda wouldn't let me have any, free or otherwise. They said they don't give them away because they're all re-used... :(

I use the big tubs that pelleted chicken manure comes in. I've got an old tool my Dad used to use like a long screw with a handle on top and I make drainage holes with that so the plastic doesn't crack. I don't suppose it'd matter too much if it did.

Got to get them while I can, Scribbler - like you, I usually arrive and find them sold out. Since most of my veg has to grow in pots until I get an allotment, it's amazing how many I get through - have already used 16 of those 30

Oh, dear I must be really greedy.  I've around 150 chilli plants growing in Morrisons flower buckets at the moment.
