Ive acquired 14 tomato plants from a chap i know, which are ready to plant, can i stick them straight into one of my dug over plots or do they require to be indoors/greenhoused all the time? or do i just have to keep and eye out for frost and keep them fed. i was think of a tomato plot!  :shock:

to be sure, you can always cut the bottoms off 2L plastic soda bottles or whatever, and put them over the tom plants until you're sure warmer weather is here to stay.  I find those less bother than fleece on toms.

I grow mine outdoors but they are outdoor types as opposed to greenhouse ones.
