It's very late for seed spuds.

I hate to say this but our local Tesc* did have some Pink Fir Apple spuds in the other day.

So I'm told.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Poundland still has a load but they might be a bit dry - bung them in anyway, you never know
Self-sufficient in rasberries and bindweed. Slug pellets can be handy.

And Wyevale may still have some too. With the current climaate I don't think it really late enough to give up, so if you can find some seed, get it planted. I've still got loads of potato seeds that I'll plant in the coming few weeks - just be sure to have some protection for them if too late, like fleece and a polytunnel of greenhouse for when the weather turns.

This is reassuring - I've still got a bag of Edzell Blue that, what with all the digging, I've not got around to planting yet. Will bung them in and see what happens...

I have read that you should not use spuds from the supermarket because they are not certified, what is likely to happen?
I have never been lost...................
But I will admit to being confused for several weeks

That they grow. They are just not guaranteed to be disease free.

Hit or miss, if that, but if it happens, it is very serious as it spreads, so there is a lot of duly fuss about it since the potato famine.

Nothing usually happens on the few of, don't make it a habit.
