Yippee, my time has come on allotment list and I have to visit Wilton tomorrow to select a plot

What should i ask/question and what is best plan to follow ?

Welcome to the site 

I'll move this over to the GYO board, but for starters:
- which direction is south / how shaded is the plot?
- what's the soil like?
- is there likely to be a drainage issue?
- what are the main perennial weeds (ie the nasties)?
- what's parking like?
- are there skips / manure deliveries?
- where's the nearest water point?
- is there much vandalism?
