Eeh! Well, now I am confused.

I can't remember who suggested my method of egg washing but I think it was someone from this site who referred me to a Defra site. But now while muntjac and I wash them, others of you say it's illegal.

Our chicken eggs are mostly pretty clean but the duck eggs are always pretty filthy. I don't know what they do with them as their bedding is always clean. I think they must play football with them! I couldn't sell them unwashed.

I never sell cracked or dodgy shelled eggs.

I don't know what to do now!

I don't think it's illegal !  You just can't sell them as grade A.
