Frost

I've just heard there might be a frost tonight, but I haven't got any fleece material - any ideas what else I could use??

cardboard, newspaper, bubblewrap, etc

This might be a daft question but would I circle each sweetcorn plant with a bit of cardboard, leaving the top open to the air??
