How much does everyone sell their eggs for.
I think I might sell them for a pound as some people go higher!

My egg lady sells them for 70p half dozen, £1.40 dozen and a tray for £4.
But that is still cheap compared to other free-rangers about. Most are are 80-90p half dozen.

We sell ours for £1.50p a dozen.  A woman round the corner buys hers from a free range producer and sells them for £1.90 a dozen.  Aggy and Munty sells theirs up in Scotland for £2.50 a dozen, but there is an organic place not far from them who sells theirs for £3.70 a dozen!!!!!

So please don't sell yours for £1 a dozen!!!!!   £1 half a dozen maybe, but you've got to cover your costs.

Have just had a look at Tesco's website - they sell "freerange" eggs (sorry, am I cynical  :? ) for between £1.36/half dozen medium own brand and £2.15/half dozen 'Big and Fresh' brand.

Don't be afraid to start high, the people that want to buy their eggs direct from a freerange producer will more than likely pay a premium over what they would expect to pay in a supermarket, because of everything that goes with that - and if people grumble you can always come down by a few pence at a time.  It's much easier than starting too low and then trying to push the price up

I charge £1.50 a dozen. Bloke i work with has most of my spare eggs, just helps with the cost of feed.

my spare eggs are sold at what price peeps want to pay i dont set a price  but usually i get  £1.50 a half dozen as thats what peeps think they are worth mind saying that i sell to a select few as my eggs are in demand if i  had more chooks i would be rich hahahhaahaha folks seem to want real free range these days. i also give some away to the folks who live next to my field as they keep an eye out and fill my water up for  me as n when ( i dont have running water) worth it tho as i can keep roosters and no complaints lol.
