Well, my seeds have been in the ground for about three weeks now... nothing!  Anyone managing to do better?  I am now trying to start some in seed cells instead.

You should, a bit of a hot pot flower them.

Last year we grew a crop of the Ustie soybeans by T&M. They were great - little hairy plants that cropped ok, although some pods were a little light on contents. They were really yummy, we love edamame so they were great with a beer in the summer sun. Nothing really ate them, although a few slugs gave it a go. A few (maybe 3 of 15 plants) were quite odd, with less hairy leaves & pods & became yellow and non-productive. Not sure what this is, but only affected a few - could have been due to the stupid amount of rain we had. Only other problem was that they all cropped at once, even though we stagger planted them - aparently this is normal. Anyway, I haven't planted them yet but will be getting this years crop in in the next week or so (pack says to plant May/June, so this should be ok I reckon). Anyway, good luck!
