Mince, onions & carrots in gravy done in the slow cooker for the afternoon with mash & for me cabbage, just the warming comfort food needed for such a cold day.

Tarka dahl was on special, so I plan on adding some chickpeas, serving it with pilau and calling it a curry  :nowink:

Nothing was springing to mind, freezer hasn’t got much in it, been to Tesco & nothing jumped out at me . Got some mash leftover from last night & the last of my homegrown parsley if it’s still ok in the fridge :nowink:, so I’ve just cooked a bag of basa fillets (1st time using it?) so fish cakes, chips & mushy peas it will be, more comfort food required as it’s so cold here

Curry night here as well.  Tandoori chicken legs (or my closest approximation using the oven), spicy potatoes,  spinach curry, naan and an onion, cucumber and tomato salad.

My now thawed pulled ham in mustard sauce with mash and peas, is in the 'fridge, just don't fancy it now.
Two bit of medium sliced wholemeal, probably with cheese and pickle in.    Guess what tomorrows dinner will be.    Mrs B

I'm not in the mood for Friday's usual dinner either. I might finish off the HM coleslaw (which was actually decent for once) on a cheese sandwich.

 No we don’t fancy the steak we bought at the farm for tea tonight either, so we’re just going to have a snack tea or sumat

Do you remember eating 'whatever' as a child (question mark).   We had that quite often, can't remember what it tasted like now, must have been good and nourishing as we had it often.  ::)

Chicken thighs on their use by - I really should get a better knife so I can bone them. Precooking the lot in the slow cooker, might just do a pile of mash and mixed veggie and be done with the hassle of food for a few days.
