I'd planned on making a chilli but I think I'd prefer cottage pie.

As it's Paul's birthday his sister brought him back a veal escalope (which he loves)  from Marlow where she lives and her butcher sells veal and venison. It's a large escalope so will cut it in half, egg and breadcrumb it to make Weiner Schnitzel which we both like, saute potatoes and salad to go with.

A sort of shepherds pie, cooked roast lamb with a thick onion gravy, peppers baked beans  & peas with a mashed potato topping sprinkled with cheese, carrots, asparagus & cabbage, rather tasty after a hard day gardening, thank you Mr S.
Just sitting down now with a big bowl,of hg strawberries & a strawberry yogurt

Leftover cottage pie.  Finished the leeks yesterday so I'll have to return to chunky mix veg tonight.

I made some spicy bean and tomato stew this morning and prepped up skin-on potato cubes for the air-fryer.  The plan is to add leftover chicken and fresh wilted plot spinach to some of the heated up stew, set the air-fryer to work on the spuds and generally not have to do a lot to get a meal on the table.

There are still a few bags of hybrid berries in the freezer from last year and the plants are covered with flowers already, so used 1 bag up to set in jelly for pud.  Ice-cream may also be involved  ;)

Back to pasta after a few days of spuds. Cheese or tomato based sauce depending on the effort I can muster.
