Small thin horizontal lines...
« on: August 04, 2022, 10:59 »
The title has you pondering no doupt (or is that doubt)?

Good morning everyone,  the title refers to lines on my carrots, not all the way round and are easily removed by peeling.  I'm just curious to know what is causing them?  I have used a 'search' engine' but nothing fits the description

Cheers,  Tony

I think you may be referring to lateral root scars.  These are where the fine white roots of the plant grow from.

Whoever knew there was a carrot museum ?

Thanks for that aunty, the lines resemble those on the carrots in the first line drawing below the title picture.  So am I concerned about nowt?

Cheers,  Tony.
