Absolutely rubbish at straight lines.  I have measured with a tapemeasure the distance from the bottom of a bed put in marker.  Repeated process the other side of bed put string between markers then dug.  Resulting plants in a slanted row now just accept I am cooked eyed and grow veg we eat.
Time waits for no man and I can't wait for growth.

All lines must be straight.
         N
         o

         w
         a
         v
         e
         y

bendy lines. All plantings must be

         b    e
     s     y    m
     m    e     t
     r      i     c
         a     l

Its an engineering thing :tongue2:

I strive and strive for straight lines but alas cannot achieve anything longer than a couple of foot without precision measuring. I’m not bothered when it’s digging (not that that’s much of an issue with raised beds!) but I do like neat crops. Him indoors thinks I’m bonkers when I get the tape measure out at planting and sowing time but I just have a thing for parallel lines!

I don't worry about it. Nature doesn't work in straight lines, so why should we?

I'm terrible too! my allotment with bendy lines, curved paths and dodgy digging is put to shame by my neigbour. His allotment could pass a military inspection it is so perfect (god i love to hate his perfection)!
Kate
Always thankful for advice!

I love straight lines. Nice and crisp and neat. You cannot beat nice straight lines of Vegetables and plot edges. I must confess I did relay the Greenhouse base as it was not square to the rest of the plot
