Hello, it's tedlester again.
I have a number of riding stables in our area who produce a lot of well rotted manure which I am free to collect whenever I wish. During the recent rainy times this produces large pools of very dark drain off from the mature heaps. Can anyone tell me what nutritional values this has to vegetable growing. I do realise that it would  need to be diluted if used. I am thinking in particular about my Brassicas, but what about general use bearing in mind the NPK values.

Lots of people add a sack of manure to their water butts to use as a weak general fertiliser, in the same way that you can use comfrey tea. Use it diluted to the colour of weak tea.

I've  never fancied it poured near my salad leaves though

I do this on my toms and everything really once a week and it seems work a treat
