hi all
   just noticed that atop the garlic that went to flower are some miniature sort of bulbs about 4 mm diameter no seeds just about 40 of these mini garlic.
 Question is what are they and will they grow into mature garlic plants.
 I do intend to plant them in pots to see what happens. so if anyone has done this let me know what to expect.
this gardening game is exciting  when this sort of thing happens.

As an aside I've noticed that shops like Lidl have recently been selling the single clove (first year) bulbs.

Thanks for that link Mums, It's interesting to note the bit about very small bulbs producing 'garlic greens', as we have about forty of the small bits of a whole clove, which were congregated around the stem, and aren't much bigger than a match head!

I did plant something similar but a year old, in modules earlier this year, but they didn't do much, so another go is on the cards - why waste them!
