Identifying a tree!
« on: August 18, 2015, 21:40 »
Hi All,

I was wondering if anybody could help. I need to identify a tree. I need to find the type of tree so as to buy another to plant in memory of a good friend.

I can tell you that it blossoms with white flowers (as best as I remember) in the Spring. I have put pictures on Dropbox and hopefully they will come through.

I'm unsure how to embed the photo's into the post. If anybody can direct me I'll get back and edit it! :-)

Any help will be very much appreciated. Thank you ever so much in advance.

Simon

It looks like Prunus cerasifera Nigra, or black cherry plum, but that has pink flowers not white

Is it the one in the background with the white flowers and green leaves or the one with the red leaves in the foreground?
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

I think you need new glasses GG.

The white flowers are actually sky showing through the tree.  :D

(...in my humble opinion.)
