Comfrey Barrel (old water tank)
« on: June 16, 2015, 14:30 »
I wasn't happy with mine sitting there doing nothing despite being fed with stupid amounts of comfrey and had threatened it with the bin. I was taking the brass fitting off about to dispose of it, when I unscrewed the drip hose and got covered in brown smelly stuff  Turns out there was a snail (amongst other nasties) in the pipe causing a blockage. I've replaced the pipe with an isolation valve and Im now the proud owner of 8 pints  of comfrey concentrate.

It's far less hassle and far more productive than the 5ft soil pipe press I have in the greenhouse which is not only a hassle to fill but so far this year has produced less than a pint of feed.

My new neighbours are going to love me when I start using it :D

Snails are an absolute pain as they can get in any tubular device including my watering can spouts!  I hope you enjoyed your hot shower!!
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
