Potatoes frost damaged

My potato plants are looking very sad, the frost has gotten to them,  will they recover?
We are in Spain,  you know,  the country that has hot winters!!

Yes, they should recover if just the tops are blackened.  Will delay them a bit though :(

The air has been swirling around the North of Scotland, down the North Sea, back across France heading West, and around the West and South of Spain and back up the Med ... the bit in between has been dragging cold air from Germany and Russia South West into Spain :(

I took the blackened foliage off when this happened to ours, as I was worried it might rot back to the tubers. Other people didn't and their were just fine, so don't worry.

As Kristen said, they will just be a bit later to crop

In my part of Spain (just 50 km or so from the Med, but with a chain of mountains between me and the sea), we had a big snowstorm on Monday. It is thawing today but our walled yard is an ice rink.
