Yoghurt!
« on: June 09, 2014, 17:00 »
Hi all,

I'm having sour crop issues (still) and one of my girls is eating after I emptied her crop earlier today.
I was going to give her a little yoghurt but am never sure which kind to buy, does it need to be low fat or full fat and should I just get plain natural yoghurt?

Thanks in advance :-)

I think the most important thing is that it's 'live' yoghurt as sour crop is a yeast infection. Plain sounds best though not sure if that's true or not  .

I don't think the added fruit would be the problem but most likely the high sugar content which would benefit growth of yeasts

Yes that sounds logical. So plain live yoghurt it is  :)

Hey. Thanks for replies, so the fat.content doesn't matter, just as long as it's plain and live?

My girls are happy whether its low fat or the full monty - it disappears in double quick time either way!  :D
