Morning all. Good and bad this morning, bad being our little cat who we thought was getting over his trauma is going backwards again. happiness because you can't fail to love a nightingale. Going to be a strange day.

Poor Splash!  :(  Hope he's bounding about again soon.

Morning all. Made two batches of jam before it gets too hot to be in the kitchen, trying to decide if I want to make chutney too. Decisions decisions.
Just rub it won't you  :nowink: Nice for you  :)

Haha. The warmth has done the cat good anyway, he's nearly back to normal. Little b*****!

Good almost morning...well, it soon will be.

I'm delighted to announce that, after a little over a month, I am just about to start my second sleep in my own bed overnight. Boy does it make a difference to how I feel during the day. Several hours of undisturbed sleep all in one go: Bliss.

Here's hoping everyone has a comfortable night's sleep until your morning arrives.  :)

Good very late morning... I was up at 2:30 but headed off to bed at 3am as my mother's breathing was fine when I checked in on her.

Then...the post arrived... hospital appointments at 9 and 10am next Wed. Not really my idea of a fun day out especially having read the accompanying leaflet.

Good Sunday morning all. Feeling a bit bleary this morning, cat couldn't play out yesterday evening due to thunderstorms, so played inside all night.

Garden;s looking refreshed so not all bad. And the birds are singing very loudly....we are sure we heard an oriole this morning.

Me again... And good morning to you all...especially Tosca ;)

I thought I'd drop in here before heading off to bed having just got back for A&E yet again.
This time the trip was for my mother who developed severe chest pains at bedtime so off we went...

By 4am she was settled and comfortable in a ward after a battery of tests. I took a taxi home and, of course, I'm now wide awake.

Hopefully the nurses will look after her better than the nursing home. Can't be worse surely? They will, I imagine, have the pleasure (??) of my sister's company sometime during the day as Sunday is her visiting day for a few hours when she has no other comitments. I hopefully will avoid that by phoning the ward before I go back over to visit.

Does anyone think this on-going 5 year saga would be worth reading if I wrote a book and splashed a bit of humour amongst the pages? I've been thinking about a title: "Do I b***y care!"..... a carer's guide to survival.

Sometimes laughing can be a real tonic...     ....if  the people in the white jackets don't get you first.

Oh Paul, I am sorry. I know from my own parents how difficult it can be, though my siblings were not quite as bad, they tended to shout from afar.

I have been feeling a little guilty that I didn't appreciate how every day life can be made so difficult as arthritis really kicks in, I could have been a bit more patient with both parents (not that they ever realised) Now I have it badly enough to stop me doing things I love I understand. I would love the chance to talk to them both now and tell them I am sorry. But I can't. They both succumbed to emphysema which made us both give up smoking, but then I put on weight so no win.

But life goes on and I am happy most of the time. Just frustrated and missing Mum and Dad. They would have loved to have seen what we are doing here
