Does anyone have any ideas how to stop the egg white from sticking to the shell on fresh eggs when you boil the egg for a sandwich as it does seem a shame to waste it as the girls work to hard make it in the first place

You need to leave the egg for at least a week before boiling, and having a perfect peel off of shell...think the membrane comes away from the shell, although the experts will know more re this.

Should be at least a week old. Also I roll the egg on a surface with my palm to crack the shell all round and then it peels off easy peasy! That trick also works for fiddly quails eggs too.

I boiled a freshly laid softy once to see if the membrane would stick.................


it peeled perfectly !

Yep new eggs wont break properly, but you don't need the fridge.

The jury seems out, but you know supermarkets don't keep eggs in the fridge.

I never put mine in a fridge but you do need to keep them cool and away from strong odours.
