Hi, Everybody, I'm new to the site and would love to improve my basic gardening skills. Here we go with my first question. I'm going to try planting garlic and would like to plant "Spanish Roja" but having difficulty finding a supplier. does anyone know where i can find a suppler. Thanks.

Looks like its probably not compatible to our UK weather as there seems to be none on google in the UK. Why grow the Spanish type and not UK types?

Redtom it would be nice to pop in and say a few words about yourself on the introduce yourself thread - we will all know where you are for replying to your questions.

Apparently the Spanish Roja is the name of a rocambole type garlic (there are other different ones - seems very popular in the US) and actually does do very well in the UK.  It has a very strong and robust flavour compared to the Wight varieties.  The only UK stockist that I could find was DT Brown and as said before, seems to have no stock available
