Christmas Egg!!
Hey cracking photo of Elvis - Babe.  Maybe i'll pin it up in the hen house for Polly she's missing male company.

mdueal - I had originally 2 Silkies but Ella turned out to be an Eddie.  He used to love Polly and was always "covering" her.  Never really bothered with my Silkie hen, however she is a bit of a tom boy.

Polly has always been a bit slow on the uptake when treats are offered but when we had Eddie he used to bring her things and really looked after her.

Had to part with Eddie as he was upsetting the neighbours with his crowing & getting rather territorial, would go for anybody but me when they entered the garden.

He's sorely missed (especially by me, we were the only two blokes in the household).

What an amazing bird! It cetainly does have comedy value. At least the silkie have a chance of seeing any little titbits but she must miss out big time!

Bless ethel - five toes and all! Elvis is a classic though - looks like the front cover of that outrageous chicken book!

Hopefully we will be branching out into having quail up at the allotment in the spring - if we can get the silkie to hatch them.

Where near Cahersiveen?  I live in Waterville - only 10 miles away!!

Waterville!! Ha!! I was there a week ago - looked for a wooly jumper in the craft market but no luck they were all very short for some reason. Parents live up the road in Aghatubrid. Very small world indeed.

Wow, it is a small world! :D

The craft market are having their massive sale so all the good stuff's probably gone, I try not to go there too often as I end up buying stuff
