Sat watching the telly tonight and heard a sound in the garden. Popped out to investigate and found quite a lot of cows in the veg patch and orchard!

There was a very flat fence at the bottom of the orchard where there had got in from next doors field, a very flat crab apple tree, a lot of munched apples which seem to have been the main draw and some pretty nibbled sweet corn as luckily only one had got into the veg.

And I though cabbage whites were a menace!

Yes, Kate, do invite your neighbours for a big beef BBQ! And have the damage bill ready as well as their plans for repairing and strengthening the fence

Kate we have similar, but smaller, visitors - Wild Boar. If we had a gun we'd have enough meat for years

We'd actually already been talking with the neighbours about sorting that fence as its not great. It had been a plan for winter but looks like its goin to move up the list! The neighbours were very apologetic but we hardly have the moral high ground as our sheep keep escaping into their field! Admittedly as they said, our sheep didn't cause any damage.

I'd be expecting free meat for a while in repayment for damages. Good job it wasnt here i have a thing with cows. They freak me out
