Welcome, and yes you can use the litters from all herbivores.

The amonia also acts as an activater for the compost heap too.
When weeding, the best way to know if its a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull it.

If it comes out easy, it was a valuable plant !

We have rescue Guinea pigguns  :D  I always chuck newspaper and bedding mess into the compost, sometimes it doesn't even change shape and comes out the same way it goes in, but it's got to be good for the veggies  ::)
Not only that they get my bolted chard & lettuces

I burn mine and put the ash on the garden. I do not use straw with the guinea pig as I was told it was bad for them.

Guinea pigs poo like rabbit poo is a cold manure and can be used straight on the garden and left to rot there without any risks of salmonella and ecoli that you can get from hot manures like horse and cow.

The only thing to be weary of is any left over seeds from hay will germinate.

Shavings are bad for guinea pigs and all rodents they are toxic, cause skin and respiratory allergies.

Barely staw is perfectly safe but you double the chances of them catching mites.

Hay is a great substrate and means they will always have plenty to eat, keeps their teeth worn down and encourages natural foraging.

You can also make poo tea within a few weeks.

We have a guinea pig and several degus, and we put the dirty bedding in the compost, but when making comfrey tea I also add a bit off 'neat' poo in the mix too, and it seems to working a treat too  :D

Grinling is right, straw is not good for G pigs, sharp stalks can blind them. Use meadow hay, they bed in it, eat it, then poo it.
Then I compost it mixed in with rabbit and chicken waste and bedding.#
Nice to recycle.
