Been away from home since Wed visiting my parents up North with my 2 girls, usually I don't want to come home (apart from to see my hubby of course) back to washing, cooking, routine, after being spoiled for a few days, but this time is different, I have an allotment to check out. I really can't wait, definitely got the bug!

Ah yes, know the feeling.  We are lucky enough to be able to spend several weeks of the school summer hols in Cornwall , if we wish.  Last year we'd arranged to do this before getting lottie.  Lucky enough, I share a plot with two friends and our hols didn't clash too much.  This year however is a different story.  What worries me actually, is not getting someone to check and water, but someone who will take you at your word when you say 'please pick and take stuff, it will make it grow more!'  Some veggies 'went over' faster than they would've done if they'd been picked.  However, don't think that will be a problem for you this time!  You'll find a lot of weeds and long grass, that's all
