I have now planted three lots of sprouts over the last 6 weeks in the greenhouse. The potting compost is fresh, so are the seeds some I have covered with vermiculite others with compost. Previous years they have grown like weeds. What is happening now? Should I try a heated propogator? Any suggestions please.

No heated propagator!

Quite the opposite. Brassicas hate heat. Any I sow now are sown outside, albeit still in modules.

My cabbage type plants are all out on the garden wall, no pampering for them.

Cabbages are part of ( I can't think what they are called now) my brain is still in bed this morning, I just rang my dad, he picked up and said hello and I couldn't remember why I had rung.

Errrm yep just seen  :blink:  honestly I have pregnancy meltdown head at the moment. This is the last baby I am having

Just worked out I have sown 192 seeds in all. Two sorts of sprout and two sorts of kale and not one has germinated:0(

My kale failed too, and the first few batches of cabbage

My first ever bruss sprout seedlings came up today (2 in fact) in unheated  'greenhouse' with no door,  in seed tray with rubbish Homebase coir type compost (not buying that again). 

I think I planted a week ago, no more.  Must be a heat/light thing and I got lucky as we had a few good-ish days last week.  The pak choi's going mad in the same tray planted at the same time though.
