Just sitting here looking at my seeds and was wondering what your thoughts are about sowing them now(bedfordshire champion) the packet says march to april but will that be a long enough growing season for them? Im going to sow my peppers today, think i will leave my toms until april.

A fair few of us have sown our onions already - but- you have to have somewhere to keep them protected until they can be planted out.

Umm ive got a greenhouse, i was intending on starting the onoin seeds off indoors first then moving them into the green house once they were up, just not sure whether to start them off now or wait, just worried about the length of time they might take to mature.

won't hem you to sow a few now, if we get some heavy frost then you can alway sow some more

ive sown a few, under protection, but wont be sowing main crops for a few weeks yet

I have three trays of onion seedlings growing away nicely now in the unheated greenhouse. They were started in the prop and put out when they reached crook stage. If it looks like a hard frost I bring them back into the utility room over night.
