Hi all   I know its early,  but when is the time to sow onion seed,  i have just been given a load of auther  and red barron  all in pellets.  no sowing info with them.  thanks

I don't know what those varieties you mention there are, but there are onion sets you can buy that are over wintering - Japanese variety - that you can plant out about now.  I had great success with mine last year.  Go and ask in your local garden centre
