gave my shed door another coat of paint, and attempted to put up the world most awkward shelves. i ordered them ''made to measure'' at the same time and with same company as the shed and they are too long ::) so i put two up and eft the others as i didnt take a saw. checked on the garlic, its just peeking through, and put my ground thermometer in then forgot all about it! hope it doesnt disapear in the night!

I didn't make it to the plot over the weekend due to being at the Edible Garden Show.

Torrential rain here this morning, so I decided to give my seedlings a shift around on the potting bench and put up another set of staging shelves.  I will be trying to get up to the plot tomorrow afternoon to use my new wratchet loppers to cut some hazel from the coppice for my Munty frame.

Never did much on my plot today just took some veg trimmings to go on the compost heap and then spent about 3 hours helping a new member 3 allotments away from mine clear and burn weeds on his plot was a nice day and got to know my new neighbour better...

Spent the day indoors getting over nasty bout of the flu.
Felt better mid-afternoon so sowed peas and kohl rabi.
I have my own cement mixer and not afraid to use it!!

I tidied out the shed, cut back some brambles and put a few onions back in that came loose. Pleased to say they were rooting nicely
All the way from my allotment in beautiful Derbyshire. I'm in year 3 of my allotment and wish I'd caught the bug years ago, things growing from strength to strength

Dug over five 8x4ft beds this morning, got loads of couch grass out of one of them the others were not to bad. Then raked them over and the beds look lovely now. It's a pity it's too cold to plant anything out!  Also put the canes in position ready for the peas.

Today I quietly (and hopefully unnoticed) sulked... again whilst smiling on the outside.  :) :) ..... ::) ....

I couldn't get to the plot - no one else available to 'father & mother sit' so lucky old me gets to play with the cooking, washing, cleaning..... when I'd far sooner be digging and planting and.... escaped!!
