Grendel, my hubby works for a big DIY chain and is always bringing me gardening bits home that have been returned or are slightly faulty.  He gets them for silly prices on staff discount.  I have quite a few spare covers ;)

Yana, you must have had better weather than us !!!  I got a little wet tonight trying to dig another two rows  ::)

I'd finished by mid-afternoon and there had been a few showers during the morning, but worked through them. Rain came on around tea time and hasn't stopped since.
I have my own cement mixer and not afraid to use it!!

well yesterday the covers went on the frames then came off again as even with huge lumps of concrete holding them down the wind was way too much, that said this morning I woke to find the 'cubic yard' bag full of garden waste for the tip (lavander cuttings and hedge trimmings, plus buddliah) had blown half way across the garden, I think it has been slightly windy overnight.

A lovely day, very spring-like.  Mayhem going on in nearby pond, much turbulence from frogs splashing around and lots of buds showing on fruit bushes at last.
Because of the forecast for another cold spell I didn't put the broad beans out, but I did cover the bed with the cloches, to maybe help warm the soil.

Yesterday ... I finally finished digging the last of my beds; changed the lay out this year. Now have 4 6' by 13' beds! need to start on the last bed which its going to be the seed bed ....
cleaned the green house and have given in to my need to sow ... started some peas in guttering in gh along with a few cauliflowers, leeks and two types of lettuce (following the DD plan  :) ) in the heated prop got the first of my tomatoes going (lost alot last year to blight and to stupidity) chillies, sweet peppers (a must in my house now they are now £1.80 for 3!!!!!) and some sweet corn!!

When is it ever going to cheer up .... some of my paths were a mud slide!!!!
2 Books and No idea!!!  Learning as I go!

The long planned potato planting part two, pencilled in for today has been postponed due to a return to normal ground conditions.

 :( >:( :(

However I shall be sowing tomato seeds and beetroot seed into one inch square modules. :)
I`m left handed, what`s your excuse?

My turn on the allotment trading hut.  Main sales paraffin and soil improving things. Sold the first plants of the year; pots of chives and dwarf daffs. Talked a lot. Got boots very muddy.

measured the little lottie in the snow so that we could buy wood for paths.  Its 7.2 m wide and 9.3 m long.
Wash your hands, stay at home, distance yourself

I've avoided the ploy this weekend too much rain. It would just be muddy hard work!

I have sown in the mini greenhouse some sugar snap peas in modules out of pure frustration

Not on the plot but I now have a fully planted up strawberry tower in the greenhouse!

24 plants, 8 levels high.

Will pot up any runners and put them up the lottie next year. ;) :)

Sunday -  went down and put in the shallots and some onion sets under the cloches I'd put on a few days earlier. Tried digging but still very wet so stopped. Did add some pelleted chicken manure and raked it in but then it started to rain again - but only after I'd put some more cloches and fabric on the rest of the "onion" bed.
Monday - looks like other "stuff" will get in the way but cold and grey so I might stay away! :(

Yippee the sun came out for a couple of hours, so off I went to the lotty and had a general tidy up, check on my garlic and onions, and pulled up a few weeds.
Cut back some brambles that had started to make there way under my shed. :)
