Thoroughly washed out are these ok to be used to ferment nettle and comfrey tea?

will be using fairy liquid and lots of water, would this be ok or would another type of procedure be required?

thank you for your replies in advance

Don't see why not. If you wash them thoroughly any residue left will be so diluted I can't see it making any difference.

It depends on what fuel was in them, and it also depends on what the containers are made of!
Most containers that are suitable for storing fuel are not suitable for fermentation.
Alcohol has a habit of encouraging nasty chemicals to leave the container and join it in the product, the result is not usually good to drink.
So really we need a little bit more information to help you.

Can't see a problem myself - if the containers are plastic they should be pretty impervious to whatever sort of fuel they were designed to store, and metal is pretty impervious to most things (although could rust if switched from fuel to water.)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Where are you going to dispose of the water you use to rinse out the vessel's? It is illegal to put it down the drain and if you put it on the soil you will contaminate the soil.

If left open any fuel will quickly vapourise so there shouldn't be any left when flushing out.

I think the'll be fine ash

Give them a clean - leave to dry and see if there is any fuel smell afterwards. If not use them or give them another rinse if there is still a fuel smell.

I think the'll be fine.

Petrol will evaporate but Diesel or heating oil will not. Personally i would not use those container's anywhere near food i would eat.
