I planted quite a few French beans but only 3 plants have grown, I've no idea why!  Can I grow them in a hanging basket?  If I can, would it be worth it when I've only got 3 plants?

Better off with Hestia Beans in a container. They are low growing beans and support each other!!!

They are very hungry plants so I don't think they'd be happy in the restricted space of a hanging basket.  Also i think they'd get confused hanging down, when they want to go up.

My French bean plants always seem to trail on the ground (is it just me?) so might suit a hanging basket well ... their hungry-nature would still be an issue.

Thanks for the advice, I think I'll leave them where they are and see what happens.
