I did some cracking Tumbling Toms last year. Iwish I had bought more as OH ate them as soon as they were ripe.  Ive got some Sweet Million to try this year and will do 4 baskets instead of 2. Im also putting strawberries in baskets this year too

I am using baskets for the first time this year, mainly for tomatoes but I'm open to suggestions too!  If you are looking for bargain baskets you won't do much worse than Poundland where they cost, wait for it, £1 each!  Only problem is they are smaller than I would have liked but considering the price I'm not complaining.

I've grown tomatoes successfully in baskets also herbs .Once did one with just parsley - made a wonderful green globe.

Best to get as large a basket as you can as they dry out so fast - all to do with ratio of surface area to volume
Playing all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order!

Like others, we did Tumbling Toms last year in hanging baskets and a two-tier pedestal, and they did extremely well. Doing Balconi Yellow this year. I did 3 plants to a 14" basket, and 2 to a smaller one.
