How do you get mareks bugs out of the land? I hope its one of the things that just stays with the birds and not in the soil/coops.  I'd love to know where you bought them from, I know that Mareks is hard to prevent but They need to know.  We all know it is one of the risks
with owning and loving our pets, but its heartbreaking.

My thoughts are with you Dad. What a run of bad luck.
Pets:if you don't love them like family, don't have them

Grumpy dad your husbandry is spot on, I would think that the problem is unfortunately in your birds. I really hope you have turned the corner and can enjoy and relax with your chooks without worrying constantly about them. I think what you have experienced is unusual and heartbreaking for you, if you are ever down this way maybe I could persuade you to look at cute bantam faverolles! ;)
