Thanks for the link trillium, looks like cooler climates are no good for growing ginger, i'll still give it a go in the greenhouse though.

Bluedave that ginger and lemongrass iced tea sounds delish, i'm gonna give that a try too.  Hope you get the recipe for the stronger stuff  8)

I love thailand - E-mailed them this morning and this just came through now (not as strong as I thought - perhaps it was just the quantity we drank? lol) -

Sawasdee kha ! warm greeting from Shangrila hotel Bangkok.

Kindly find details of the drink below ;

Ingredients

- Tequila 1.5 Oz.
- Lime juice 1 Oz.
- Lychee (blending) 3-4 pcs.
- Lemongrass slice (blending) 1 Oz.
- Syrup 1 Oz.
- 7 Up (soft drink)

Method

Blend Tequila, Lime juice, Lychee and Lemongrass together and then put the syrup and ice and then blend again. After that pour into the glass and topped with 7 Up.

Should you need any further inquiries, kindly feel free to contact us at your convenience.

yep, Thailand is one of the most friendly places i've visited, the people really bend over backwards to help you and they seem to do it because they want to rather than because they are expecting something from you.

Forgot to add that they call it a summer breeze, although there are a number of cocktails also called this from other parts of the world that are completely different!
