How do I go about growing ginger
does it have to be done in the green house ot just in the dirt.

also where can i get some to grow

It needs to be in a greenhouse jim  Probably the wrong time of year now,( I would do it in the spring) but get a nice piece of fresh ginger from the shop and stick a piece about 2 inches  big in a pot of compost, water and put in a warm place, should sprout in 2 or 3 weeks. If you put a couple of sticks in the pot, you could put a polythene bag over the whole pot....this could be it's own propagator
