Having had years of rotting due to cold and then getting them miced under cover, I either chit in compost in guttering inside 2 ltrs polybottle cloche length slid around the guttering BUT this year I had some sprouting in my bean sprouter for salads and after a few cuts I bunged them in the soil to carry on- with the tops 'pre-pinched' out to make them bushy! Why didn't I think of that earlier  :D So all my pre-chitting will be done in the bean sprouter this year  :nowink:
