OK weather, the Bank Holiday is over now so you could at least try and be more spring like.

Why the worst of both worlds? The mild winter has not killed off my slugs and the recent warm weather has given them an appetite but I cant apply my nemaslug as the soil temperature has now dropped too far!

AND

My spuds have just poked their heads above the surface but the weekend promises a sharp frost (-2C) I have bought some fleece which I hope will be sufficient.

I have earthed them up but i am away for a few days and dont want them to put their heads above my earthing over the weekend just as the temperatures plummet. So belt and braces; earth and fleece.

Hopefully -2C will be enough to make my slugs very unhappy though. They are the little grey ones that dont seem to play the game and eat the blue death pills.
