Find out what happens to the grass cuttings from the churchyard at your local church. I just this evening got 6 barrow loads of approx 5 year old composted cuttings which I'll use as a mulch. Offer to help....

And/or:

Any elderly or infirm people in the neighbourhood? Maybe be a good neighbour and cut their lawns/trim their hedges.

try bales of straw , local council grass cuttings , news papers , anything that gives bulk

If it hadn't been chucking it down this afternoon I could have collected some grass cuttings from the council strimming on the bank over the road. Tomorrow maybe. Came up with a lot of cardboard packaging from a new kitchen that one of the family is installing (DIY job).

Will probably do quite well what with taking up a lot of your suggestions this year.  Next year will have to take care of itself as it's a long time away yet but might be another quiet year.

Wor :Dking in a country park i can get lots of leaves this autumn, just need to find a big corner for a year to store them hehehehhe im sure i can find some where.  Also i have just had a kilo of worms delivered for the display in the visitor centre that should tunr over some as well.
