hi my dear friend evie found the grub to be a small copper butterfly, and apparently lucky to have it so the pest expert said,

I wonder why he said that, as I understand they are common and widespread throughout Europe, do they eat ants?

    He wouldnt have said you were lucky to have it for no reason. Why do you have to kill them. Put them somewhere else away from where you are. At least the birds could have a few of them. Its unusual enough for ppl on here not to know what they are.  :evil:
