Won't be a green shield bug, they suck sap & cause no noticeable damage.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I don't really know where you mean, your gallery being empty, is it in the photo competition?

Why can't you put it on here instead of all peeps going around this like myself, won't get many replies, exasperating.

Could be the immature nymph of the Green Shield Bug, which the RHS says are more rounded..

http://www.rhs.org.uk/Advice/profiles0900/green_shield_bug.asp

Nevertheless, they don't cause leaf damage to the plant, (allegedly), are you sure this is the culprit?

Must admit I've never seen anything similar to this - get plenty of the Green Shield Bugs on the raspeberries though!

On garlic?  Garlic is used to repel things. :?

I only know of a few grubs that eat garlic, leek moth, eelworm, etc, none of which look like that of course. That looks almost like a slug moth.

Whatever it is and however it got there, not too sure the damage is caused by this fellow, how many have you got?

What does the damage look like?
