More sowing for the heated propagating bench today, whilst my four year old decided to convert my conservatory floor into a shallow sowing area behind my back!

Forecast is for snow in the southeast for early next week so I shall wait before I sow anything directly in the ground I think, this time last year we had loads of stuff in, this year nothing in the ground and just a few bits in the green house
Gained an allotment on the 19th June 08, 135ft by 40ft! eekk. Finally after 4 years it is looking like an allotment and not a jungle

We have 5 lovely hens in the garden, fish, 2 dogs and 2 canaries

Sowed some golden globe beetroot and ciaggio (think that's how you spell it) cells at home as too foggy at plot
All the way from my allotment in beautiful Derbyshire. I'm in year 3 of my allotment and wish I'd caught the bug years ago, things growing from strength to strength

had plans ready for the lottie today and the weekend its a wash out (literally) at the moment. What with the snow forecast, all the work im doing is in the greenhouse and sowing stuff indoors.
I NEED MORE WINDOWSILLS!!

 :(
I have my own cement mixer and not afraid to use it!!

Put down 20kgs of lime, erected the greenhouse staging for the seed trays. Cleared out the tool shed, put some shelves up and hung the tools up where they are supposed to be and not just dumped inside the door. Chewed the cud with our newest member.

Now sat at home with a huge cheese sarnie and a pint of homebrew. Happy as Larry.  :)

Checked over the allotments to make sure all was well as we have had some tampering with storage boxes. Nothing taken. The at home continued clearing the bottom of the garden of bits of brick and concrete from the walls we removed and then forked over the soil.  Then a trip to the tip with some more rubbish.

Big sowing session today.  Plus a big potting on session.  Five hours in total!

Didn`t do anything, but the begonia plugs arrived today. I really didn`t want to see them just yet.

That`ll be a job for late Sunday afternoon, after work, to sort them out.
I`m left handed, what`s your excuse?

Another damp day and with my clay soil I have to keep off (don't I?) so it does not get solid again. So seed planning and planting at home today! Tomorrow looks really miserable. :(

Decided against planting 1st earlies as forecast for next few days not brilliant so will delay however put well rotted compost around Raspberries Gooseberries and Blackberries. Planted the last of the red onions into pots and then into cold frame. Dug up some Comfrey for  sister in law . Ground still to wet to walk on , just hope the Easter weekend that is just around the corner is fine and dry.
