as you all know we are new to this growing lark and although we have really enjoyed watching them grow we now have some mysterious questions we need answering!!
so please excuse our ignorance and stop laughing!!
1) our earlies have long flowered and plants are tall and falling over, so we pulled up one plant and found 6 nice new spuds, that looked good! can we replant the spud plant?
2) can we plant the stems and get more?, thought i saw jamie oliver do it!
3) we have some funny appley looking things growing on our spud plants too, not all of them but some, should we take them off and what are they?
4) once them earlies have all been dug up,is it ok to plant something else in there place?

3 - Wouldn't bother. They contain potato seeds, (not seed potatoes - there's a thread on this somewhere!).
