I would be surprised if you have blight in Essex already. I have some similar spots on a couple of Kestrel plants I have in pots. I think it's a mag deficiency. I only have a few leaves like it so will remove them and get some Epsom salts on em.

Sorry to revive an older thread but I was searching for some answers and your problem seems to have similar symptoms as the spots I noticed on my main potato leaves last night:


I first panicked that it could be blight but after reading some pages online it appears to be a less damaging strain of blight (early) or brown leaf spot.  I found a useful factsheet on brown leaf spot below:

I'm not entirely sure what to do but I will also apply some salts as some plants have yellowing leaf tips and I guess I'll have to wait and see if the spots get any worse.  The first lot of tatties I dug up were fine but a little on the small side so I'd rather leave them to grow a little longer if possible.  Apparently if its blight you should cut the stalks and bin/burn them then leave the tubers in the ground for a fortnight so when you dig them up they don't also get infected by any blight spores which would make storing any difficult.
